The X25 EVO is a new-generation high-performance industrial-grade flight controller from CUAV. Compared to traditional controllers, the X25 EVO features breakthrough upgrades and optimizations in power rails, sensors, vibration damping system, temperature compensation, hardware reliability, and device compatibility. It significantly improves performance and stability in complex environments, meeting the demands of various unmanned systems.

Detailed Descriptions


The X25 EVO is designed for unmanned systems operating in harsh environments. Its triple-redundant IMU architecture combined with the 4th-generation vibration damping system effectively resists high-frequency vibrations and temperature drift, significantly improving attitude estimation accuracy. Dual barometers with thermal compensation deliver stable air pressure data even at high altitudes or during rapid temperature changes. Powered by the highest-performance STM32H7 series MCU, together with CUAV’s optimized hardware acceleration, the X25 EVO runs open-source firmware such as ArduPilot or PX4 smoothly. Moreover, the X25 EVO offers abundant industrial interfaces, including 16 PWM outputs, dual independent CAN buses (5 CAN nodes in total), Ethernet, and multiple serial ports, making it easy to integrate various sensors and peripherals. The compact metal housing measures only 76.5×45.45×32.2mm and weighs 110g, fitting into space-constrained installations.

Power Innovation | Disruptive Wide-Range Power Supply Architecture

X25 EVO is fully upgraded to a 10V ~ 18V high-voltage power supply, significantly improving power supply efficiency. The baseboard has a built-in 5V/15A DC-DC high-power converter, and the external interface supports 5V/12A output, empowering heavy-load devices.


Striving for Excellence | Brand-New Industrial IMU Sensor Matrix

The non-similarity IMU sensor matrix is composed of 3 sets of TDK industrial-grade IMUs, 2 sets of barometers, and the industrial-grade RM3100 anti-interference magnetometer. It supports failover and ensures safe operation in various complex environments.

The IIM series sensors are equipped with high-precision constant-temperature active external clocks, which can greatly reduce ODR errors and effectively improve the sensitivity and synchronization of systems.

Powerful Performance | High-Performance H7 Processor

It adopts a high-performance STM32H7 processor, bringing powerful intelligent computing power to the system and supporting secure boot and secure firmware upgrade services. During operation, the CPU occupancy rate is lower, and it is compatible with the complete ArduPilot and PX4 drivers and functions (such as IMU temperature learning, non-GPS navigation, FFT filtering algorithm, and LUA script), and provides ample space for follow-up development and compatibility with new drivers.


Dual Temperature Compensation System | Redefine Standard of Sensor Performance & Precision

X25 EVO features a newly upgraded dual temperature compensation system. The onboard IMU and the motherboard temperature control work in conjunction to build a constant temperature zone inside the controller, ensuring IMU, MCU, and crystal oscillator are always kept in a constant temperature environment, maintaining system performance stability, reducing performance damage caused by temperature drift, and ensuring measurement accuracy. It responds to temperature differences at the millisecond level and achieves real-time and precise compensation within ±0.5℃.

Compared with previous generation controllers, temperature drift is reduced by 15%, and the consistency of the attitude algorithm is improved by 25%.


Rock-Solid | Double Shock-Absorption Structure System

The newly upgraded CUAV patented fourth-generation tilt-symmetric damping matrix shock absorber system, with an optional external fixed ear shock absorber to form a dual shock absorption system, can effectively suppress abnormal high-frequency vibration, reduce external interference, improve sensor data accuracy, and better adapt to different working conditions.


Global Awareness | CAN Bus + 100M Ethernet

By connecting to intelligent batteries and ESCs via CAN, X25 EVO can transmit status, operating temperature, and device information of intelligent batteries, motors, ESCs, servos, and other system devices, enabling status monitoring among unmanned system devices and enhancing system safety. X25 EVO integrates a 100M Ethernet interface, supports Ethernet expansion of onboard computers, optical cameras, and data links, and can provide high-real-time, large-bandwidth communication guarantees for AI applications such as unmanned system swarm operations, visual navigation, and tracking.


Special Optimization | Enhanced Compatibility with High-Power Large Unmanned Systems

Strong Compatibility, Adaptable to Multi-Field Applications: It supports 16 PWM outputs via the Servo port, 32 PWM outputs via the CAN port, and is compatible with more drivers and actuators.


Support Wide Voltage and Large Current:
X25 EVO comes standard with PMU 2 Lite, which supports 70V voltage output and 220A current detection. It also offers an optional PMU 2s with 140V input and 500A power monitoring.


Strong Drive, Support 3.3V / 5V PWM Level Output: Built-in bidirectional multi-level converter supports 3.3V/5V PWM switching. This effectively solves level or signal attenuation and distortion issues caused by long wiring, capacitive or high-impedance loads, ensuring smooth actuator operation.

Equipped with a multifunctional RGB full-color status indicator light, intuitively reflecting the working status of the controller through multi-colored lights. PMU 2 Lite Power Management Unit Module


220A Current Detection Overcurrent Warning Protection:
PMU 2 Lite utilizes non-contact, coreless busbar current detection technology and CNC-machined current sensing sheets. PMU 2 Lite can achieve instantaneous, high-current 220A lossless current measurement in a compact package. It also supports overcurrent warning, effectively ensuring safe system operation, preventing abnormal damage to equipment, and improving overall reliability.


16S Battery Input Wide Voltage, Flexible Adaptation: PMU 2 Lite supports 20V to 70V wide voltage input and is compatible with 16S batteries. It adapts to various power supply conditions and can easily meet the power needs of various unmanned systems in different scenarios, significantly improving its adaptability.


Firmware Support

X25 EVO is compatible with mainstream open-source platforms such as ArduPilot and PX4. It supports a wide variety of unmanned system devices such as multi-rotors, fixed-wings, vertical take-off and landing fixed-wings, unmanned helicopters, unmanned vehicles, and unmanned ships (submersibles).
