Introduction
- The NanoPi R1S(as "R1S")is an open-source loT ARM board designed and developed by FriendlyElec. It has two models, one based on Allwinner 64-bit Quad-core A53 SoC H5 and the other based on Allwinner Quad-core A7 SoC H3. Both models have 512M DDR3 RAM, two Gbps Ethernet ports, an onboard 2.4G Wi-Fi module and etc. Both boot from a TF card. Both models' USB can be extended to connect a 4G module or works with a USB camera.
- FriendlyElec ported an OpenWrt system for the NanoPi R1S and provides a Build System for compilation and customization.
By applying some simple configurations it will work as a router. Users can easily put add-on features to it and use it in WAN-dailing applications, game acceleration, personal NAS applications, remote control, smart home gate ways, DIY projects and etc. - Besides FriendlyWRT the NanoPi R1S works with Ubuntu Core and Armbian as well.
