Benewake TFA300 Series Lidar: High-Precision Distance Measurement Solution The Benewake TFA300 series lidar is a high-performance distance measurement sensor designed for industrial applications. With its superior performance and wide applicability, it becomes an ideal choice for many industrial scenarios. The series includes two products, TFA300 and TFA300-L, which are suitable for different installation and protection requirements.
The TFA300 series adopts advanced dToF ranging technology, capable of achieving a ranging frequency of up to 10,000Hz, ensuring precise capture of distance changes even in high-speed motion environments. Its ranging distance can reach 290 meters under 90% reflectivity and 100KLux ambient light, and even under 10% low reflectivity conditions, it can maintain an effective ranging distance of 100 meters. Whether in complex indoor or outdoor environments, it provides stable and reliable ranging data.
The distance measurement accuracy of the product is also excellent. The accuracy within a short distance (<10 meters) can reach ±10 centimeters, and the accuracy for long distances (≥10 meters) reaches 1%. In open environments, the single-point radial repeatability accuracy can reach ±1 centimeter, meeting the requirements of high-precision industrial measurements. Its working principle is based on the pulse time-of-flight method, receiving reflected light signals through an APD (Avalanche Photodiode) to achieve precise distance measurement.
In terms of design, the TFA300 series pursues extreme lightweight and miniaturization for easy integration into various devices. The TFA300-L weighs only 10.5 grams with dimensions of 32.0mm×30.2mm×20.2mm, making it suitable for applications where weight and space are critical. Meanwhile, the TFA300 product features an IP67 protection rating, enabling stable operation in harsh industrial environments and outdoor or humid conditions.
The TFA300 series supports multiple communication interfaces, including UART and CAN, facilitating connections with different control systems. Its UART interface uses a 3.3V TTL level with a default communication baud rate of 115200. The data frame format is clear and easy to parse. The CAN interface supports the DroneCAN protocol with a default baud rate of 1M, offering strong anti-interference capabilities and stable data transmission, suitable for the complex electromagnetic environments of industrial sites.
In addition, the TFA300 series offers a rich set of customizable configuration commands. Users can adjust parameters such as ranging frequency, communication baud rate, and distance offset according to actual needs, and save settings via commands. This ensures that the device maintains configurations after power loss, meeting personalized application requirements.
